Christian Alexander Hawkins is a 2021 honors graduate of Ramsay High School located in Birmingham, Alabama. Christian graduated with an outstanding 3.93 grade point average.  As a high school student, he enrolled in the Lawson State Community College Dual Enrollment Program and took several advanced placement courses.

Christian’s academic achievements included membership in the International Baccalaureate Honor Society and the International Baccalaureate Business Honor Society. He exhibited his leadership skills as president of the Ramsay High School Choral Department and as treasurer of the Tri-Music Honor Society. Christian also participated in the Jefferson County Teen Court Program, Future Business Leaders of America, the Alabama State University Honors Choir, and the Annual Birmingham All-City Christmas Music Festival.

Christian understands the importance of community service as shown by his participation in peer-to-peer tutoring and he worked with those who needed assistance developing resumes. He used his singing talent to entertain the elderly and brought Christmas joy to citizens while caroling during the holidays. In addition, he interned at the City of Birmingham Attorney’s Office working in several areas.

As early as his elementary school years, Christian participated in Achievers In Life, Inc., a program which mentors 5- to 18-year-old males in character development. He was recognized for his maturity, his desire for knowledge, and his ability to analyze situations and make wise decisions. He was also involved in the Achievers In Life Boys’ Choir which participated in many community events.

In the fall of 2021, Christian will attend Boston College where he will major in Sociology. He is looking forward to the next phase in life – becoming a successful adult and productive member of society.
